1. Pony & Therapy Rides
The WWEC has a program for pony rides and therapy rides with licensed therapy instructors. Pony rides occur once every week on Saturdays and Sundays. Therapy lessons are available on Mondays and Wednesdays every week.
Pony rides are for children ages 2-6, no older, no younger. Pony rides occur using english tack, without a bridle, as children can hold on to the saddle. Pony rides are run by Interns and Instructors. These rides consist of a walk through the racetrack and up through a section of our trails. Pony ride availability have a max of five kids per horse, so depending on how many horses are being used, the availability will vary. On weekends, the pony ride hours range from 10:00AM-12:00PM. These rides will last ten minutes in total.
Therapy rides are for ages 6+, with any underlying condition. These rides are usually on a lead rope to begin but can vary over time. We have two licensed therapeutic instructors. These rides are either a trail ride or a lesson on the "racetrack" depending on the individual, or individual's care taker's choice. These rides will occur using english tack. The availability of these rides ranges as some riders come in consistently while others do not. The hours are from 4-8PM on Wednesdays and Mondays. These rides will last thirty minutes.
