Here are all of our wonderful lesson horses, these equines are NOT up for any form of lease or sale unless stated by the WWEC or our owners. This page is just for viewing or information if you end up being in our lesson program once it opens!
: ̗̀➛ Daya
"WEC We're Burning Daylight"
15.1 HH
7 YOA
Mare
Mustang x Quarter Horse
Friendly
Daya is currently not in lessons, as she is a rescue and needs to be taught a few things + put on some weight. Daya is just the sweetest soul and was found by Ms. Fields at an abandoned farm up for sale, Fields brought her home on January 14th, 2024. Daya is playful and loves other people and horses, as well as she is a quick learner, however has the habit of getting too excited, i.e. bucking and taking off. She's been put undersaddle quite a few times and has almost mastered her W/T/C + transitions. Hopefully she'll be up and running into her prospect of up to 3'3 in all three rings.

: ̗̀➛ Snowy
"WEC Ask No More"
15.3 HH
10 YOA
Mare
Hanoverian x Tennessee Walking Horse
Spunky
W/T/C & 18in jumpers
Snowy is a well trained lesson horse purchased from the Hollow Woods Equestrian Center by Hazel Fields. Snowy is calm both on ground and in the ring, she can be slightly spooky but it is very rare for her to spook badly. She's got very smooth gaits and doesn't need any extra tools. Although she's young and has potential, she's mainly a beginner lesson horse, for students learning the basics of the flat and the beginning of jumping. She's the sweetest soul and wouldn't hurt a fly. Hopefully over time we can build up more muscle for her and increase her scope so she can be used in more intermediate lessons. She's the perfect mix of fast and collected and can really teach a newer rider how to use their leg commands more than their rein commands.

: ̗̀➛ Arthur
"WEC Gave You All I Had"
16.1 HH
17 YOA
Gelding
Ardennes
Mellow
W/T/C & Therapy/Pony rides
Arthur is a chill horse purchased from the Jarlasson Farm, he's a sweet soul and has no issues, other than his slight age and genetics that keep him as mainly a W/T/C horse. Essentially, Arthur was a rescue, as we were contacted by Dorith Jarlasson outside of Paddock Island's usual sale season. Ms. Jarlasson ended up explaining that he had been dumped off by a family moving out of the Jarlaheim area, this family had just kept him as a pasture pet since they had no real use for him and no one to sell him to. He's a perfect pony ride/therapy horse, despite his size he truly is a gentle giant. Once in the ring he does need more leg aid as he's a lazy boy, but he's the perfect horse for riders to learn on, as he's not push-button and can actually teach riders to acquire different skills for different horses. Yes, his mane is roached and will permanently be roached, this is because when he arrived, his mane was clumped with dried mud and all kinds of debris, it was literally impossible to care for it, so we roached it and will continue to roach it since he's thick furred and is much more comfortable without all that hair in the way.

: ̗̀➛ Ringo
"WEC Paper Rings"
13.3 HH
6 YOA
Gelding
Dartmoor x Haflinger
Energetic
Jumpers (2'3)
Ringo is the cutest little jumper with a ton of speed, but he listens well and collects when asked. He's pretty bouncy and loves being social, with both riders and other equines. Ringo was purchased from Goldspur showing estates which is located up in central/north Harvest Counties. He's used for intermediate-advanced riders as even though he knows how to collect, he requires an experienced rider to actually be able to collect him properly. He's very excitable and can do a halt-canter in practically milliseconds. He's a speed demon, but will listen when given the proper commands. He doesn't like people hanging on his reins and much prefers take/give rein work.

: ̗̀➛ Pepper
"WEC Red Hot"
12.2 HH
9 YOA
Mare
Shetland Pony
Spicy
Three Ringer (3'3)
True to her name, Pepper is very spicy and speedy, a habit of throwing bucks around while jumping, under the right rider though, she softens and responds very well to commands. Pepper is also used as a pony ride horse, as she behaves very well during the flat. Pepper is only ridden by advanced riders whilst jumping, although she can be used in intermediate flat classes as she is a good pony to learn from. She behaves perfectly for pony rides and definitely knows who her rider is and how she can act accordingly. Pepper's only motive is "go" so she requires riders that can handle speed in the jumper ring, but can also learn to collect for hunters and equitation. Pepper's bucking isn't a pained or aggressive response to her work, but an excited reaction. She needs a level-headed rider that can balance out her energy. Pepper was purchased from New Hillcrest stables.

19 YOA
Mare
Dutch Warmblood
Smooth
Hunter (3'9)
Moana, purchased from Goldenleaf Stables, is very collected and the perfect hunter horse. She needs no aids and her only issue is other horses, she prefers to be isolated. Moana is also used regularly for flat lessons as she is a great horse for beginners to learn on. Moana is certainly a fan-favorite as she is perfection, no vices whatsoever and doesn't act up on the ground or in the ring. As stated, she prefers isolation, not in the sense that she'll outwardly attack a horse that is too close to her, but being to close to other horses just isn't her thing. So, we give her the space that she needs. She can be ridden by riders of all levels, from walk trot classes to adult hunter classes. She's the perfect hunter with pointy hooves and beautiful collection.

Thoroughbred x Warmblood
Honest
Hunter (2'6)
Geronimo was recently purchased by Hazel Fields from the SEC. He is a very sweet boy with no vices and has fancy feet. Just like Moana, Geronimo can be used from beginner lessons to advanced lessons. He can teach newer riders how to be more patient with equines, as with a newer rider, he is hesitant to listen at first as he knows that the rider is less experienced, so he's perfect for riders to learn how to be more assertive in their riding. As for advanced or intermediate riders, he's the perfect chill ride and is so honest, he really knows how to communicate with his riders and is such a saint in the show ring.

Morgan x Dartmoor
Friendly
Hunter (3'3)
Sugar was purchased from Jorvik Stables by Hazel Fields. Sugar has no vices, and is a wonderful mover. Sugar is used from W/T/C classes up to advanced hunters. She's quite collected and knows how to pace herself properly, however also knows how to test a rider. She knows exactly how to teach students newer to cantering or jumping, as she won't actually do what she is supposed to be doing unless asked properly, so riders don't just expect to get a good result without trying for it. Once she warms up to a rider she is an angel, she'll get anyone out of a tough spot, whether to long or too short of a spot she knows how to save anything without bending uncomfortably.

"WEC Making Promises"
15.2 HH
9 YOA
Mare
Paint Horse x Thoroughbred
Focused
Jumper (1.25m)
Sugar was purchased from Moorland Stables and has a wonderful showing record, she knows her job and executes it practically perfect every time. Clover is basically a "workaholic" she's very strong, typical for a show jumper, but can soften up when asked. She's only used for advanced riders who know how to properly handle her. She's sweet on the ground and has the happiest personality, but the minute she sets foot in the arena she is focused on her job. She loves doing what she does and loves the experience of having a new rider every day. The variety of riders keeps her entertained so most likely she will never be out for lease or sale.

American Quarter Horse
Friendly
Three Ringer (2'3)
Coffee, Sugar's older brother, was also purchased from Moorland Stables. He is such a sweet boy and know how to collect in hunters and EQ, but also knows to step on the gas for jumpers. Coffee is another fan-favorite of the WWEC (mainly the staff, we love this perfect boy) He's a very good flat horse for beginners as he has the smoothest quarter horse gaits ever. Again, a perfect three-ringer, he can really be ridden by any rider no matter the personality. He is just a saint and has equivalent ground manners, he is just generally so polite and just such a sweet soul.

Eventer
Aphrodite has recently been purchased from Vineyard Sales. She is such a sweet and gently girl, with graceful gaits and the most perfect step. She is so smart and very chill, she loves her new pasture mates and is just generally very friendly. She is so gorgeous and is just genuinely an amazing equine. She is just such a talented mare, with the perfect balance of collection and speed. She really is the sweetest and enjoys her quiet time in turnout. Aphrodite is used in intermediate-advanced lessons as she's considered too head-strong for our younger or more beginner riders.

Dressage + Cross Country
Frosty was recently taken in from Jorvik Horses Organisation by Hazel Fields. She had been given up by a family who was moving to America. She's pretty head-strong, but nothing too bad, so she's used in intermediate-advanced lessons. Frosty mainly specializes in intermediate-advanced cross country along with all levels of flatwork and dressage. She's pretty headstrong so she's perfect to teach riders how to step on the breaks when needed. Although on the trails, she's an absolute firecracker.

Panda was rescued from the Goldenleaf Kill Pen, and given that, we ended up naming her. She's made a ton of new friends and loves to run in turnout, she's currently not in the lesson program as she was off of work for a few months beforehand. Our staff will work with her quite a bit and get her back into shape. Since Panda has been previously trained in eventing, we'll most likely shape her back into that direction or to jumpers specifically. She needs time to get back on her feet, as she had been a pasture horse for quite some time. While we get her back into shape, we'll update her progress as time moves on!

Cob cross
Sleepy
W/T/C + 18in
Lovey, rescued from the Hollow Woods Rescue, which once again, meant that our team got to name him. He's a very sweet and gentle boy, literally wouldn't hurt a fly. He'll be perfect for beginners to learn jumping and cantering on. He's always sleepy and loves napping. Although he is a young horse, jumping higher than 18in wouldn't suit his build or muscle system. He's perfect to teach students how to put leg on and deal with a "lazier" horse. He's just such a cute boy and loves cuddles.
